Great for conservatories and extensions...
Underfloor heating is a specialist area as the system must run at 45 degrees or below (compared with 60-70 degrees for conventional radiators) and still heat the home. Known as a ‘low temperature’ system, underfloor heating will run at lower outputs for longer periods.
As the water temperatures for underfloor heating are much lower, the boiler will operate in what is known as ‘condensing mode’ for longer periods. Condensing mode is when the boiler can operate upto its ‘factory-tested efficiency’ of 89% or more. Underfloor tends to be best suited to new houses or extensions where it can be laid beneath a screened floor.
